Information
TV/Satellite/Aerial
Details
With the exception of Montgomery House*, the remainder of the estate’s terrestrial and satellite TV is delivered by a communal system. It is forbidden, under the rules governing the estate, for any individual dishes, aerials or other apparatus to be affixed to any property by a resident.
This communal system is maintained under the service charge and any issues should be reported to the managing agents in the first instance via the Warwick Estates customer portal using the ticket system.
(To access the ticket system you must first register with Warwick Estates to gain access to the portal).
Please note:
- · Any costs relating to individual problems with reception or apparatus, that are not communal issues, must be paid for by the resident.
- · Permission must also be sought from the managing agent before any TV provider or other tradesperson is allowed to access the equipment that distributes the TV service.
If you are new to The Old Meadow (TOM) and wish to install services such SKY and SKY Q and to employ your own TV engineer you MUST contact our managing agents, to obtain permission for access to the equipment and for permission to carry out works. Unauthorised works to the communal system are not allowed and any issues that arise as a result will be charged to the resident.

Future of TV delivery
Due to changes in the way TV services are viewed, within the next few years all TV services will be delivered/streamed via the Internet.
Broadcasters, such as the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 back a transition as it costs them a great deal to maintain signals used by a declining number of customers. Satellite-delivered services such as SkyQ are also being phased out. There is yet no date for this switch-off.
As of January 2028 the communal TV system on the estate will no longer be maintained and residents served by this system should be making arrangements to receive services via the Internet. *The switch off will also affect Montgomery House residents, who are currently served by smaller dish and aerial systems.
