Abbey gardens
Improvements within Abbey Gardens continue. The trees at the rear of Amber Rise have been cut back opening up views to the English Bridge. New litter bins and benches have been installed. Further works are planned in the spring.

Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year starts on 1 February. 2022 is the year of the tiger. I hope it is a roaring success for you.
February birthstone: Amethyst is purple quartz and is a beautiful blend of violet and red that can be found in every corner of the world. The name comes from the Ancient Greek, derived from the word methustos, which means "intoxicated." Ancient wearers believed the gemstone could protect them from drunkenness.
February flower: violet and primrose
The February birth flowers are violet and primrose. Because February is always associated with Valentine's Day it always surprises people when they find out that roses aren't actually the official birth flower of the month.
