DIG THIS OCTOBER 2021

Friday 1st October 2021

The next FOTOM meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 26 October at 10.00am.
All welcome to help us plant winter bedding plants and bulbs and litter picking and tidying.
Meet by the MH bin store. We look forward to seeing you - the more the merrier.

Board members have continued to take stock of the condition of the grounds - including all the garden areas, pathways, roads and car parking spaces. The general consensus is that there is work to be done to bring all of the external areas up to a better standard. After more than seven years growth the two communal gardens, in particular, have naturally become more denser and so we are looking at ways of bringing these up to a better standard, which will involve more maintenance and some new planting. We hope to be able to provide more details and proposals at the forthcoming owners' meeting.

In the meantime, now that Covid restrictions have eased, we plan to hold a working party of The Friends' of The Old Meadow (FoTOM) on Wednesday 20th October from 10:00 am till 12 noon. So if you can spare an hour or even 30 minutes, your efforts will be appreciated. The meeting point will be under the Montgomery House arch and the plan is to carry out some general litter picking, tidying, removal of summer flowers and to plant winter bedding and bulbs. Equipment and snazzy green tabards are provided. All residents are welcome to come along and meet your neighbours, even if you don't know a turnip from a pumpkin! Coffee and biscuits and a chat provided when the work is done."

Regards.
