BOARD UPDATE

Land transfer
Members of the RMC (Residents' Management Company) Board met in July to discuss and progress on-going legal issues. We are trying to reach agreement with the two major block landlords - Abacus and Adriatic - in relation to a series of data protection clauses they wish to impose. Before proceeding we need to take specialist legal advice and agree costs with David Wilson Homes.

2020 estate accounts
Good news is that we have made significant progress with Warwick Estates in resolving the accuracy of the estate accounts for 2020. There are still some outstanding issues that require clarification before the accounts can be signed off and presented at the proposed AGM this Autumn/Winter.

Adoption of sewage system
Chasetown has been back on site and carried out works to the river outlet. We are hopeful that these works mark the end of the requests made by Severn Trent Water (STW) and that the adoption process can now be completed. We will be contacting both STW and David Wilson Homes to get a progress report.

GOING GREEN?
We are looking at ways of making the estate a more sustainable place to live. This is something where all residents can make a contribution. Simple measures such as cutting down on waste; ensuring you recycle rubbish properly; reducing water use; switching off unnecessary lights etc. We plan to work with PEM, who are managing the blocks, to reduce the time that lighting in the stairwells stays on and reduce the sensitivity of some of the courtesy lights on the outside of the buildings.

There have been a number of leaks across TOM related to the street water meters. Do please report any leaks to STW as soon as they are noticed.

Plans for the regeneration of the garden areas should also afford opportunities to encourage more insects and other wildlife to TOM.
