ON THE BRIGHT SIDE JULY 2021

Thursday 1st July 2021

Hello folks,

Hope you've been enjoying the lovely sunny weather and for the football followers amongst us that you are enjoying Euro 2020.

Whilst the lockdown restrictions weren't totally lifted in June we are still able to see friends and family and it has been good to see people around the estate meeting and greeting people they haven't seen in such a long time.

ABBEY GARDENS

In April I mentioned that Shrewsbury Town Council had agreed a plan of work in Abbey Gardens. Some of the clearing and tidying has been done but those of us in Amber Rise, who back onto Abbey Gardens, are keen for the work to commence on cutting back and thinning out the trees. You will see from this photograph how tall the trees have become and that they overhang into our gardens and sometimes the odd branch falls down.

I am pleased to report that this work is due to commence late August/early September. It should give us more air and light and reassurance regarding falling branches.
