Children’s Play Area
Details
The feature gardens are open for all to enjoy but they were not designed as children's play areas. This was recognised by the developer who provided funding for a path to link TOM to The Castle Walk Recreation Ground. If you take the route along the river path you will find a beautiful open space with a lower terraced riverbank area and picnic benches. The infant/junior play area has a woodchip surface and swings, a slide and multi play area.
If you cross over the Castle Walk Bridge and turn left along the road you can walk up to the Dana prison and cross the Dana bridge by the station which brings you into town.
If you cross over the Castle Walk Bridge and turn right and go down the steps onto the riverside path and turn left to the weir there is a café with another children's play area and some goats and chickens or if you turn right you can return to the town and The English Bridge via the river walk.
